Key Lime/Green Endler (Poecilia wingei) - Nano Tank Star!
The striking Key Lime Endler stands out thanks to its vibrant coloring. Males have a dazzling metallic-green color with a black bar on their body and their tails have an orange edge on their tail. Females are about twice as big and are silver that can appear a very faint green color under the right lighting.
In addition to their looks, these fish are incredibly versatile for aquarium keeping. Reaching only about 1 inch in size (males), they are perfectly nano tank friendly, thriving in smaller aquariums of 5 gallons or more. They also exhibit a peaceful temperament, making them a wonderful addition to a community setup where they coexist happily with other peaceful fish and adult dwarf shrimp. Finally, the Key Lime Endler is remarkably hardy and adaptable, known for its resilience, which makes it an excellent and forgiving choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists alike.
